If you want to live long in Vietnam, just try this!
1. Drink plenty of water!
Vietnam's hot and humid weather makes you sweat often, which can lead to dehydration if you're not careful. Be sure to drink at least one 500ml bottle a day. It's recommended to always keep a water bottle in your bag!
2. Sunscreen is a must, not an option!
Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat are essential when going out. The sunlight in Vietnam is strong, and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can darken your skin or cause spots, and in severe cases, increase the risk of skin cancer. It's best to take care of your skin in advance.
3. Develop a regular exercise habit
Most apartments in Vietnam have free gyms or swimming pools for residents. Since these facilities are already included in your maintenance fee, make good use of them to stay healthy and save on medical expenses!
4. Consume pho broth in moderation!
Pho is delicious, but if you let the broth cool, you can see a layer of white oil floating on top. It contains fats from the meat and many seasonings, so if you're on a diet or want a healthy meal, it's better to consume only a little of the broth.
5. Take deworming medication once every six months
Due to the climate in Vietnam, it's an environment where parasites or insect eggs can thrive. Moreover, frequently eating raw vegetables, sashimi, or undercooked meat increases the risk of infection. Even if you feel fine, it's advisable to take deworming medication every six months.
By following just these five tips, you can avoid sudden trips to the hospital. Shall we start a healthy and enjoyable life in Vietnam?
