🌀 Update on Typhoon No. 10
According to the Dam Management and Disaster Prevention Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam:
As of this morning, there have been 29 deaths, 22 missing persons, and 139 injuries due to the typhoon, and contact has been lost with 8 crew members of a vessel from Gia Lai Province located 110 nautical miles offshore.
Housing damage: 91 completely collapsed houses, over 144,000 houses damaged or roofs blown off, and 20,000 houses flooded.
Agricultural damage: 34,000 hectares of rice and crops, about 10,000 hectares of aquaculture flooded or lost, over 1,100 livestock, and 179,000 poultry dead.
In Hanoi, 82 areas are flooded, with water levels of 0.3 to 0.6 meters, and some areas reaching up to 1 meter (including the underground tunnel on Thang Long Avenue, the My Dinh–Tien Hien intersection, and areas like Duong Dinh Nghe and Bo Chi Cong).
Economic damage (provisional): approximately 80.1 trillion VND.
