Vietnam Airlines announced that from May 17, 2025, it will officially move all domestic flights to Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. However, flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO between Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao, Rach Gia, and Ca Mau will continue to operate from Terminal T1 as before. Since April 17, Vietnam Airlines has been operating the Ho Chi Minh–Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh–Can Tho routes from Terminal T3, safely operating over 1,400 flights and providing smooth services to nearly 400,000 passengers over about a month. This operation is based on close and efficient cooperation with Vietnam Airports Corporation and related agencies, offering passengers a convenient and consistent travel experience. At Terminal T3, Vietnam Airlines operates check-in counters from 56 to 109 and has installed an additional 22 self-check-in machines. Additionally, on-site support staff have been strengthened for a smooth transition. Vietnam Airlines encourages passengers to actively utilize the new convenience services offered at Terminal T3, which include self-check-in kiosks, Self Bag Drop, and a biometric identity verification system developed through the VNeID application by the Ministry of Public Security. These advanced check-in methods allow for quick and contactless processing without presenting documents, helping to ensure safer and more convenient travel. Furthermore, passengers are advised to check the terminal information specified on their tickets in advance, familiarize themselves with the location and flow of Terminal T3, and complete online check-in through the airline's website or mobile app if possible. On the day of travel, it is important to move to the correct terminal and arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure for a smooth journey.
